本文重新审视以往关于汉语方言分区的各种意见,将方言分区分解为划类和鉴别两个不同的步骤。先进行划类,分出典型方言区;然后再鉴别,将典型方言区之外的剩余地区分别归入典型方言区;既非典型方言,又难以归入典型方言的剩余地区,视为方言过渡区或混合方言区。

        A Review of the Classification Methodology of Chinese Dialect

    This paper reviews various opinions on the classification of Chinese dialect and further divides classification per se into two different processes of compartmentalizing and regrouping. Dialect areas are first compartmentalized to find out the typical ones and then the other dialect areas are regrouped into the typical ones. Those areas that are neither typical nor regroupable are regarded as intermediate or mixed dialect areas.
