新华网5月9日消息 目前在世界一些国家爆发的非典型肺炎(英文的缩写是SARS，译音为萨斯)这个名词，殃及了挪威的一个无辜姓氏。这个姓氏就是与“非典”的缩写发音相同的萨斯(Sars)。

　　据美联社报道，在拥有450万人口的挪威，这个姓氏相当有名，所以宋雅王后7日将一艘船命名为“萨斯”号。

　　挪威最有名的萨斯是19世纪的海洋生物学家迈克尔·萨斯和他的儿子耶奥格·奥西安·萨斯。有一个名叫“萨斯中心”的研究机构就是以他们的名字命名的。

　　自从SARS爆发以来，这个设在卑尔根的中心接到了无数电子邮件、传真和电话，要求了解关于这种病毒的信息。萨斯中心爱莫能助。它研究的是海洋遗传学，主要是斑马鱼。

成功的秘诀就在于姓氏的首个字母?根据《经济学人》杂志指出，谁的姓氏首个英文字母，是头十三个字母（A-M）其中之一，谁就容易走上成功之路！为引证“字母因素”理论，《经济学人》曾以美国43位历任总统的姓氏作出比较。结果发现，姓氏的第一个英文字母是属于A至M的总统总共27位，占了过半数。 杂志又援引位列世界首富排行榜前五名的巨擘，即盖茨（BillGates）、巴菲特
（WarrenBuffett）、艾伦（PaulAllen）、埃利森（LarryEllison）及阿尔布雷克特（KarlAlbrecht）的姓氏，作进一步证明。无巧不成话，美国联邦储备局主席格林斯潘（AlanGreenspan），日本央行行长速水优（MasaruHayami）和欧洲央行行长杜伊森贝赫（WimDuisenberg），甚至流行乐坛组合辣妹成员，包括着名球星碧咸的妻子维多利亚（VictoriaBeckham）和梅拉妮　布朗(MelanieBrown)及艾玛　本顿(EmmaBunton)，她们也因姓氏的首个字母而占了“优势”。《经济学人》经济编辑伍德尔称，姓氏的第一个英文字母界乎A至M之间的人，会较易有出色的表现，可能与孩提时代的学校座位编排有关。 伍德尔解释：“小孩子刚入学的初期，老师为了容易记得全部新生的名字，通常会按照他们姓氏的字母先后，顺序由前至后安排座位。”她打个比喻说，一位名叫ZysmanJnr的近视学生，由于其姓氏的首个字母届乎N至Z间，而给安排到坐在较后位置，因此不为老师注意，影响学习。
