现在就可以在香港理工大学主网页上报读。与内地考研的一些主要不同之处：

1. 不需要考试，也不需要考外语：全凭过往的个人学历。凡持有本科学历的同学都可以报名。报读的基本要求是：有本科学位和毕业证书（在注册时由学校教务处检验原本），对语言研究有兴趣。报名一律以网上形式，报名时需要通过网络提供学位证书和成绩单的电子扫描件，报名详情请见

3. 需要弄清楚的是，香港的MA硕士学位都是授课式硕士学位，可以在一年内念完。我们这里说的就是中国语言学MA硕士课程。另外还有两年制的Master of Philosophy即研究式硕士学位和博士学位。香港已经与内地签署学位互相承认的协议。念完MA的同学可以继续申请学习MPhil或PhD.

7 P7 W2 V! G8 l* K9 {4. 报读MA需自费，整个学位30学分共需学费8万1千港币，加上在港生活费，一年共需13-15万。

5. 本科念过本硕士学位课程相同或相近科目的同学可以申请转学分，最多可转12个学分即4门必修课。这样可以少交学费。另外，我系提供少量入学奖学金，每学年年终另提供成绩优异奖学金。本地政府已经宣布，从08-09学年开始，内地来港全日制学生可以在校内每周兼职20小时并在暑假期间在校外受聘工作。

6. 这里介绍的MA硕士学位课程可以说是语言学研究的第一步，与MPhil及PhD研究学位不同。如申请报读MPhil或Ph.D.，则不需要自费，由学校提供全额奖学金，但名额很少，需要申请人表现出极强的科研能力，有优异的过往成绩和较强的外语水平，申请人需要用英文独立撰写研究课题申请报告并用英文通过口试。

The implementation details of related measures are also extracted for your information and necessary action:

1.  Non-local students of full-time programmes of study period not less than one academic year at degree level or above are allowed to take up study-related internships as arranged by institutions.  AS will coordinate and provide the list of academic programmes that necessitate study-related internship to Immigration Department.  Departments/offices involved in internship should maintain the records of internship of non-local students for five years for checking and investigation by the Immigration Department. The records should include the student's personal particulars (bio-data and HKID number) and study programme, name and address of employer, and nature of the internship (post, job nature, duration and working hours).

M$ }0 [5 j  ~5 Z  j( o% n+ I2.  Non-local students of full-time degree programmes can take up part-time on-campus employment for not more than 20 hours per week, and off-campus employment during summer months (June to August).  The records should include the student's personal particulars (bio-data and HKID number) and study programme, name and address of employer, and number of hours worked (logged daily).

a. Part-time on-campus employment must take place within the campus excluding the campus of any subsidiary and associated body of the University or its self-financing arms.  If the work station is outside campus, the university should be the employer.

On-campus outside operators can also be designated by the University to provide part-time on-campus jobs to non-local students.  Such operators should register with the University through SAO on or before 31 March 2008.   Departments/offices who oversee such operators should consider the necessary arrangement with associated operators as appropriate, and register with SAO if necessary.

# ?2 q* s  b/ ^. [3 P8 Zc.  All departments/offices/units/designated operators are required to maintain the employment records of non-local students, if any, for two years for checking and investigation by the Immigration Department.

& }, I; f) u& a# k$ p3.  Non-local students who wish to take up charity/voluntary work are required to seek permission from the Immigration Department via the internal coordinator.  If the charity/voluntary work is coordinated by your department/office, please complete the attached form and pass it to AS for follow-up.

在国内，花上这么多钱可以读完一个正正经经的博士研究生了。既有学历又有学位！

谢谢回复。在这个语境中，香港所谓的课程就是国内所说的学习专业。硕士课程也写硕士论文并授予硕士学位。在香港只要获得录取念博士，是不需要付学费的，而且按现在的标准，每个同学每月领取1万2千元的助学金。

可能是一些误解，我们从来没有传递过“一没有学历，二没有学位”这样的信息。

谢谢您的回复。希望和大家交朋友，共同讨论一些问题。其实我们也知道世界很大，选择也很多，不一定要去哪个特定的学校，只是互通消息而已。硕士生招生，在香港确实已经走向了市场化，招生人数激增。但我系的语言学这一块还是小规模的，二三十人。我系其他专业，一届可收60-90人。xx大学一届就收200人。但市场化也有积极效应，更多的同学可以拿到研究生学位。学系的收入有了盈余，可以拨更多的款项来扩大博士生和博士后的名额。至于教学质量是否会受影响，这也要看具体操作。比如，如果一个教学团队因学生人数增加而增聘了教师，分平行班上课，而且要求教师开发自编教材，发展电子教学平台和互动平台，那么学生的学习在先进的教学环境里并没有受到什么负面的影响。

“授课式硕士学位”taught MA 在英国就是唯一的硕士操作模式，9个月就可以完成，但开课很多，教时密集。写论文时间不超过半年。香港原来是英国的殖民地，这个方面是从英国照搬的。
2 k# l" P# X5 Y4 ?0 P/ BMaster of Philosophy （M.Phil.）。在英国，所有博士生第一年注册都先注册为M.Phil.研究生，等到一年后，通过博士资格考试，允许攻读博士学位了，再把自己的身份改为Ph.D.研究生，注册时间回溯到原来注册M.Phil.的那一天。如果谁通不过资格考试，或是最后完成不了博士论文，或是论文不合格，才会被考虑授予哲学硕士学位。所以在英国，谁要是只有一个M.Phil.，那就是有点什么问题了。而且，在英国博士生最后未拿到学位的人也不少。
. s' n: T# ?0 |& b% P但在香港，Master of Philosophy被当成了一种正式的学位，叫做“研究式硕士学位”，学制两年。像我在上面说过的, "持有BA一级荣誉学位者，可以直接录取为MPhil.研究生，还可能直接录取为PhD. 当然这些情况很少。持有MA学位者也可以录取为MPhil 或者Ph.D.。念完MPhil的，可以再申请PhD。这些都受名额的制约。"

所以，从学习年限上说，国内的硕士三年；香港的MA硕士一年，M.Phil.硕士两年，没有办法直接划等号。再说，英国的9月制硕士与国内的三年硕士也没有可比性。
